disk1.cab error during instillation

I've downloaded this twice now and tried running the mod in Admin, but every single time it tries to install I get an error that: "The cabinet file 'disk1.cab' required for this instillation is corrupt and cannot be used. This would indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM (what CD?), or a problem with this package."

On my 6th download and still the same thing from the Moddb link. Not very impressed to say the least. On the other hand I did try several times to ignore the error and press on with the install but it would not let me stating a 'FDI Server Error'. But whatever.

I had a similar error every time I try to install 1.15.

Another interesting note: when I tried to copy the version I downloaded today, it got to about the same point as the installation and stopped transferring. I'm not sure if this is ModDB's version or GameFront's version, but i've tried one of each with the same result.

Sorry to start off my first post here bluntly, but what the hell is this?

I've downloaded the file THREE times from moddb, mega and torrent
and every single one of them have disk1.cab

Seriously you guys have always done a terrific job with the mod, and I really
DO appreciate that you guys still supports 2.602 for us non steam players,
thank you for this!

But what is wrong with the new installer that I've downloaded three times and
everytime I get error when I try to install?

Oh thank you Darkbladecr, I downloaded it in another partition and everything went as normal, something is seriously wrong with
my usual download partition...

So sorry I blamed it on ur installer, it is totally my fault and it's unacceptable, I apologise for my actions. You guys are the BEST
modders for Company of Heroes, making the most awesome mod ever! Always wanted to thank you guys, for all those hundreds

I am having this problem also, except i have downloaded the file on multiple partitions, from different sources and also the torrent, and it is not working at all.
i also tried forcing extraction with Winrar and it said that there were no (identifiable) archives in the .exe file, repairing the archive didn't work either.
And i tried using Universal Extractor, but had errors in all types of extraction.
I also tried running in compatibility mode, reinstalling microsoft .net framework and running the self extractor in many different locations.


In addition, none of the downloads were interrupted.
I also tried the checkdisk thing.

i would really appreciate it if you could clear this up for me as i bought the game exclusively to play this mod with friends.

We will be releasing 1.016 in a Full patch in MSI format (Microsoft installer). We hope this will solve this very rare problem. We will also be packing in an updater and a shortcut as people have trouble making their own one.
