Cannot Start MC

I downloaded and installed 1.015. When I go into the Modern Combat folder in coh relaunch the launch icon for MC appears as (coh-mc_shortcut_icon.ico - Shortcut), when I click on it the computer says "Windows cannot open this file", "WIndows needs to know what program to you want to use to open it". It gives me the option to open it using the web or another program such as paint.

.ico is the icon it is not the mod.

You can launch the mod by making a shortcut to the game:

I tried creating a shortcut but when i change the the "target line" to the one for MC and click apply it comes up with "pathway" does not exist.

Correct on my last post, its says target box is not valid.

Both the desktop and steam shortcut? You sure you reading and typing the correct things?

All good, I tried creating a steam shortcut and it worked. Thanks for the help, it always amazes how great the support by a team who work completely out of there free time.

Ok, I figured this would be a good place for this since I'm having trouble launching. I couldn't find my key, so I broke down and bought the complete pack from Steam to attempt to play some online games/watch replays. I'm trying to play the mod with what I installed from Steam, and it keeps telling me that it can't verify the media. Does this require the Relaunch version? I just moved what I had installed already over to the Steam folders so it would take less time to download and install, and ToV and OF both launch fine, but still tell me they are v2.602. I take it I'll need to download and install the entire Relaunch version before I am updated to v2.700? That's going to take about a week at my speed.

Yeah, I just now see that the Relaunch includes the expansions as well. I tried to just install the expansions. No luck. Installing the relaunch version now, 3% in about three hours. Sweet.
