CoH: Modern Combat

Hello all, I have just installed modern combat using the 1.016 installer n when i try to start it using the launcher, it does not start up at all. It does not even appear in the processes tab, what is the problem? Thanks in advance!

Are you using COH 2.602 (non-Steam version) to play the mod?
The launcher is for COH 2.700 (Steam version) only, and you needs to create a shortcut yourself.
Goto your COH root folder, find your RelicCOH.exe, and create a shortcut of it. Open the properties of the shortcut you just created, find the target of the shorcut, and add following commands at the end of the target command line: " -dev -mod moderncombat".
Here's an example of full target command line:

D:\COHTOV\RelicCOH.exe -dev -mod moderncombat

and here's another one if there's spaces in the command line:

"C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\RelicCOH.exe" -dev -mod moderncombat

Change the icon of the shortcut if you want, and start the mod with the shortcut you just created.

Add -MCDev to the target line.

I was having trouble. This finally worked, I must have been doing something wrong before. Now that I've done this, the program tries to start up and steam pops up for about .75 seconds. The game doesn't start though. For half a second it says COH is starting...but it never does.

What the heck? What should I do?

That crash is caused by the recent Steam CoH patch. We released hotfix 1.018 (http://coh-moderncombat.com/?page_id=1111) specifically to fix it.

Make sure you have 1.017 installed as well before you install 1.018.

I did what you guys said In this and I run as a admin and I use the installer and than installed patch and than the hotfix and its not working and its under: C:\Program Files (x86)\New folder\SteamApps\common\Company of Heroes Relaunch\ModernCombat Any Help Plz? Thank You

Are you sure this is the correct directory?

Yes I Hidden the file because my little brother likes to delete it. Forgot to add I have this problem: The Procedure entry point _lua_type@8 could not be located in the dynamic link Library Luaconfig.dll. ) I found the problem that the steam laucher disappears and does nothing if you want to know it is just ask me! Also thank you for responding to me!
