It's gonna be awesome if I can manage it, I've never had the opportunity to brainstorm a mod from scratch before. Who the hell needs meth when you have CoH modding?

Can't wait a hardcore conversion of CoH2 :D I love hardcore mode more than normal mode because a realisc and fast-paced combat always make me thrilled.
BTW how was your exam today? ;)

Why is that? You just don't think they're balanced?

The Soldier wrote:BK is very dead - the lead developer managed to piss off the rest of his team, and he' quite literally alone now. And he hasn't made a single post on his forums for at least 6 months now.

What happened exactly? BK is the most popular mod for CoH, I'm surprised that didn't motivate them to stick it out.

The Soldier wrote:And you've already an idea for MC2? Well, that was fast. :) I'd love to hear it!

Just some added realism, with revised tech trees and a few shake-ups to the core mechanics. :)

Went alright, despite the fact that Biochem is essentially a treatment for insomnia. :D Thanks for asking.

A lot of stuff when out over adding a Sturmtiger and the Super Pershing. Then people started asking to add the Maus. :P Just that sheer amount of stupidity and the fact that Xalibur over-controled his own devs (or lack thereof, sometimes) brought the entire rotten structure down.

Also the fact that Xalibur pissed off Ruhrpottpatriot, probably the best-known dev for the BK mod. He put a whole lot of time and sweat into re-working the Terror Doctrine, which was horrendously OP at the time, into a completely new doctrine (the name I can't remember ATM, it was years ago). And Xalibur just sort of flicked it away. :P

If any of you have been with the Eastern Front mod before the Great Purge there, you'd know what I'm talking about. Except for BK, it just went beyond the point of no return.

It's a shame to see the biggest mod for CoH go down because of infighting.

Hardcore and Blitzkrieg makes things die too fast but there's also too much stuff in Blitzkrieg.

What is that about The Great Purge of The Eastern Front?

The Great Purge? Ah, just something I relate to what Stalin did. In real life and in the mod, it pretty much crippled them. A bunch of people were kicked from the mod team for seeing a different view compared to the dev leaders, mostly being the balancers because they thought they were the core of the mod. So, after that, the mod kind of when into hibernation for a while until it gained its wits back.

I do like slightly more hardcore things, stuff dies a bit faster so I have to pay attention more. But like Campaigner said, BK just added way too much stuff.

Love hardcore mode more+1.
Because real tanks and troops dies that fast. People won't left standing after getting hit, and armor won't keep pushing forward after getting pierced. There's no "balance" on real battlefield, all the thing you need to take into consideration is how to make good use of what you have.

Glad to see this. I haven't been playing MC or COH2 much lately, but anything MC related for COH2 would be great.
