PLA Sniper can destroy an Abrams tank...(bug)

This bug was reported by Roman 9441 in DB forum Jun 8 2014, 9:44pm: (1018 patch bug) this bug does not happen in 1017 patch confirmed by me AAMC4

IT not kill gunner it decrease HP a bit :/ so sometime if my tank heavy damage the sniper kill my tank :/ with the shot that it damage HP a bit on hardcore.

conclution: the PLA sniper can not produce any damage in any tanks because the sniper does not have any antimaterial rifle or 50 cal upgrade.

Erm, I'm pretty sure that even an anti-material or .50 cal rifle wouldn't dent an Abrams (or any other modern tank, really) under normal circumstances. Bug, ahoy!

Yes, brother the Anti-material rifle with special piercing munition and in specific point of the armor can penetrate the tank (not frontally) but laterally in the rear turret or can damage the engine and stop the tank.

In this case the PLA snipers does not have antimaterial rifle and he can damage abrams tank... that is what Roman said.. I can not prove this bug because I have 1017 patch...and in 1017 patch this bug never happen...

If you have a chance try to prove it thank you Soldier... use cheat mod and play against AI, spawn a abrams and use the shot ground ability to avoid the abrams kill the snipers... after spawn 3 or 4 PLA snipers and let them shoot against the abrams...

Under normal circumstances, e.g. open ground. I know tanks like the Abrams can be disabled if shot in a particular area with a .50 cal. I knew you were going to say that, ahead of you game.

Not to be rude, but there's no .50 BMG/Soviet round known that can penetrate any portion of the Abrams under any feasible scenario.

The only place it could possibly damage (not counting external equipment like machine guns or sights) would be exposed sections of the Suspension possibly.

Hey may have meant the "Snipe Gunner" ability, which technically does penetrate the Abrams in order to apply the gunner-kill critical.
