questions....request information....

Post by AAMC4 »

Hello guys well I am making maps for MC but in this moment I only have few modern vehicles and few modern buildings...

Are you go to add new vehicles models and buildings models to be added for MC maps? Zombie mod creators have lots of new vehicles, trucks and cars of diferents color and types...

Is really annoying, use WWII vehicles and buildings models.

thank you so much guys...
Hey somebody can help me?

I have a little problem...

I am making map for MC but when I use the mission 7 bunkers walls but now all vehicles can cross in THROUGH them and see people or other vehicles in THROUGH these walls but the shots can not cross THROUGH the wall...

somebody can explain me what is happening? how make to avoid vehicles and troops cross in THROUGH the wall?

Hi, I'm making maps too and I also came sometimes across the problem that units couldn't shoot through walls I would like them to shoot through and others where they shouldn't. In the epbs/gameplay folder in the editor you find objects called "movement_blocker_shot_block_only" that units can nether shoot through nor cross them.
I lazy way to provide units from crossing certain areas (while they can still shoot) is to place support walls (like support_01) under the ground where you can't see them. These walls are indestructible and nether vehicles nor infantr can cross them.
Hope taht could help you a bit :)

More environmental assets will likely be added sometime, but as you can probably understand it isn't exactly first on the agenda right now. :P

thank you so much brother...it worked, I have not more vehicles crossing wall or shooting through the walls... really appreciate your help..

I am making a map based on airbase next to a little city 4 blocks, night , caen clouds night...

it look great but when I use the "Halogen lamp" (floodlight) to find airplane in the air, these lamp appear "ON position" in worldbuilder but in the game appear "OFF position"

Any idea what is happening?

in the worldbuilder I have a great soccer field inside a big stadium with these Halogen light ON and look amazing...

you know without light in the city looks like a dead city...

Other thing that I really need to know is how you made to change the inclination of diferents objects?

for example I saw you used the Hangar Roof for Buildings roof...

but if you look the Hangar Roof is inclined... how you change the inclination?

I really appreciate your help thank you so much my brother

yes, my brother.. I understand perfectly... do not worry is only a request for the future that can make all maps more realistic and pleasant for all players....

for example :

I have a little "fire station" without fire trucks or ambulances...

I have a contruction field with old little trucks transport...should be modern big trucks...

I have a police department without police car...

just little details that can make the game more pleasent.... :D

Hi, sorry for the late reply!
The images of your map look f****ing awesome, I'm very curious to try it out!
I don't know if there's a better way to change the inclination of objects, I usually do it like this:
You move an object to aslant (don't know if this is the right word) like a hill or something and hit "autoalign"
Here's a screenshot of it:

http://www.mediafire.com/view/myfiles/#ncf45i5i7nncwg5

I recommend you to then make a stamp with the object so that you can copy it so you don't have to make the same procedure every time.

I'm sorry but I have no idea why the lamps are out ingame.....
Maybe it works better if you use action markers instead of normal assets for the light....

Can't wait to see the final map! :)

Thank you so much Mr. Unreal Eugen... all these tips worked for me... you made me happy..!! =D

I made lot of new modification in the map including add lots of new thing like better buildings, a totally reworked Soccer stadium and some details... I take some ideas from your map "City" like the bus station and some buildings parts...
Your map is really detail (awsome)... But I think, you have lots of experience making maps...the next saturday, I will release my first map finished...

I could not find the way to turn on the stadium lights.. I had to change the weather from night to Sunny...

this is how the stadium looks :

This is a Missile Silo:

Heyho,
Nice that I could help you a bit!
I would recommend you maybe to use some more splat placements as they make maps look a lot more realistic. For example I think the Relic map creators use for each map a f*******ing huge amount splats like dirt and sand over roads and corners.

Here you have an example of what I mean:

Can't wait to try out your map! :)

Hello Unreal Eugen....

Thank you for all your help and recommendation, I add more splat in the field but does not look like your map.... your effects of garbage and splat are so brutal ... I can not make that effects LOL XD

I need one more thing before finish the map... How did you make to add the Peatonal cross or intersection.. you know the white lines where the people cross the street....

I used the "road trip 2" for regular way.. but whe I try to use the MC white line to create the peatonal cross, the white line disappear under the main street.... Any idea about what is going on?

Thank you so much Mr Eugen... I appreciate all your help...

Hi AAMC4,
I'm really sorry that I couldn't answer you earlier, I got a lot of stuff to do lately!
There's a splat called PAINTED_STRIPES in the NM_TRACKS folder. That one should be the one you're looking for.
By the way you can also change the opacity of splats you've placed. I looks a lot more realistic if you lower the opacity of your splats a bit. (That's what I did in the second image I posted last time.)
And finally: When you place splines like roads and stuff you can select the spline and press the "page up" or "page down" button on your keyboard. So you can make sure that the splines stay at a certain position ether over or beneath other splines. For example you can place white stripes ON a highway this way.
I hope I could help you a bit and again, I'm really sorry that I've kept you waiting so long!
