Installing Error

Hello everybody! First of all big thx for tihs amazing mod. Due to some steam - related problems (i cannot activate retail dvd game version on steam) i am forced to keep coh at 2.602. Until now i had the last version available for 2.602 - 1.014. I read on the download page that v1.016 also work for non steam release. I dowloaded it but when i run the installer it says that "could not acces network location steamapps.." .I' ve already read about this problem on forums and it is said that was solved but with the new installer the problem is still present. is this something related to the game registry? or simply the installer doesn't install anything on non-steam coh, despite the fact that it was suppose to work on any coh. Thx in advance!

Are you sure you can't enter in your CoH folder manually? The installer won't automatically find non-Steam directories, but you should be able to do it yourself.

Yes. i'm absolutely sure. I can't write a letter. The installer says could not acces network location steamapps.." if i hit try again , it reopen the dialog box and if i choose cancel , the installer closes.

When did you download it? If it was a while ago, you may have an older version of the installer (which had this same problem).

I downloaded this mod on 09.01.2014 and last time yesterday. the problem still persist. I've downloaded v1.06 base version from the link (mirror) provided on download section. If there is a better installer please show me the link.

No, you have the correct version then.

I don't know why this isn't working for you (I'm not a very tech-savvy member of the team), but due to all the problems people have been having with the latest releases I may put up a simple RAR folder download instead. There doesn't seem to be any real advantage in using the MSI installer anymore.

I'll let you know when the re-release is available.

I did download the installer from moddb yesterday, and i am still unable to edit the installation directory, the installer quits when not finding the location.
I would be very interested in your RAR release.
