just wanted to suggest a good tank equal to the T-59D of the Chinese. The M60A3 patton MBT. Still very much in use by the National Guards and used in the gulf war, one of the longest serving tanks to date. And maybe to balance the chinese artillery, add the HIMARS Mutiple rocket launcher, there should be a limit as well.
The US don't get anything like a non-doctrinal MBT because their playstyle is supposed to revolve around manoeuvrability, precision firepower and versatility. For example at 325 manpower and 50 fuel the Stryker ATGM packs much greater speed, range and overall firepower than the Type 59D for its cost, but simply lacks the raw durability (i.e., the "attack move" factor). The Stryker ATGM isn't supposed to go toe-to-toe with the Type 59D, it's supposed to out-flank and out-manoeuvre it. And if possible, out-number it.
Of course that all changes when the Abrams appears and turns the tables, but I hope you understand what I'm getting at. The 2 factions are supposed to be 'asymmetrically balanced', if you get what I mean.
