Its a design preference. If you go to google images there are a wide variety of different designs.

How is it a design preference? Officially, it's the one he posted. Not a big deal, but I wouldn't really chalk it up to personal preference, haha.

Its literally the same star but as a design preference was fattened to give depth. Anyway this is a very picky outlook to be honest.
