FYI the site is long overdue for an overhaul, most of the stuff there is extremely outdated (especially the pictures).

• Will rename the NDM-86 to the Type 85, thanks for the heads up.
• All sources I can find online state that the T59D has the T83A 105mm rifled gun?
• Will rename the Type 85 to the QJC88, didn't realise the vehicle version had a separate name.

Some words said that Type 59D has a Type 83A gun,but now China's military magazine have introduced the T59D tank.It says that T59D has a Type 94 105mm rifled gun.The Type 94 has a longer barrel.

Not recent.It's a military question so we couldn't know much.But the magazine said it's Type 94.I think it's the latest news.

Is there an English translation out there? I can't find any sources to confirm this, they all say that it has the T83A.

Translation:
Type 59D Middle Tank is the PLA's 1st-Gen Tank's latest upgrade version.

It uses Type 94 105mm rifled gun which has a very long burrel.
Secondary Armament:1 x Type 54 12.7 mm Air-Defence Machine Gun(total 3000 bullets),

I don't know whether to change it or not... I don't think you're lying, but I can't find a single other source out there that confirms the T94.

I'm inclined to think it may have been a typo in the magazine.

I'm not lying…Some words said that PLA T59D tank uses T83A 105mm rifled gun.But the military magazine“Modern Weapons”said that T59D has a T94 rifled gun.The China Baidu Encyclopedia said the T59D uses T94 Gun,too.I don't know whether you can browse it or not.And it doesn't have a Chinese version.

As far as I can tell, it uses a Type 83A gun. The only other guns I can find are an 85mm, two 105mm versions (the Type 79 and the aforementioned one) and a version of the tank mounting a 120mm gun and a 125mm gun. I've only found two 105mm guns, and I'd expect the version here to be armed with the later, Type 83A, gun.
