Some small mistakes in new website

In the new Coh:Modern Combat website,I just found out some small mistakes in the unit pages.
-PLA Sniper:The words says that the PLA sniper uses an NDM-86 Sniper Rifle.But the NDM-86 is a foreign trade weapon of Norinco.PLA's version is Type 79 Sniper Rifle(or Type 85 Sniper Rifle).Another thing is that in the picture,the PLA Sniper still use QBU-88 Sniper Rifle.
-USA Green Berets:Although the Green Berets have used M4-SD instead of MP5SD6,some words still says MP5SD6(at the end of the instruction).And in the picture the soldiers use MP5,too.
-PLA Type 59D Middle Tank:According to a Chinese military magazine and other words,Type 59D tank has a Type 94 105mm rifle cannon which has a longer barrel than the Type 83A 105mm gun.The Type 83A 105mm gun is old and Type 59D Tank doesn't use it.
-PLA ZSD-89 and ZTZ-99A1:The words says they all have a Type 85 Heavy Machine Gun.But this is wrong.The right name is QJC-88 AA Machine Gun.The QJC-88 is Type 85 HMG's truck type.
I hope the Coh:Modern Combat and it's website will be better and better!

1. Hm. Well, armies don't always use weapons made in their own country - the M9 Berreta used in the US army is made in italy, for god's sake. And the QBU-88 was chosen for the PLA sniper to differentiate the US and PLA snipers (one is long-ranged, slow-firing and accurate, the other fast-firing and shorter ranged).

2. Having a 105mm gun on the actual PLA tank would pretty much render the 105mm gun carriage for the PLA useless, since that's how both armies get their mobile AT. So...yes. Balance reasons. And the Type 59D is also probably mothballed in Chinese armies, with the 85mm main gun. This war literally *happens* next year, in 2014, so not much will change.

Rest of the stuff is pretty much just lots of typos. Good catch.

All right.The NDM-86 isn't a weapon that is made in foreign country.It's just a weapon of Norinco.It's for foreign armies.PLA's version is Type 79 (Type 85) Sniper Rifle.And I want to know which weapon will PLA sniper use?Type 79(or Type 85) Sniper Rifle or QBU-88?
The Type 59 tank is the Chinese version of Soviet T-54/T-55 tank.It has a 100mm rifle cannon.Then in the 1970s,China got the western 105mm rifle cannon.So PLA made a kind of tanks that has a 105mm rifle cannon.It was called Type 79 Middle Tank.Then China made many tanks that have 105mm rifle cannon,such as Type 80,Type 85 and Type 88.China made a great version of Type 59 which was called Type 59D.It has a Type 94 105mm Rifle Cannon.
And,China have some other versions of Type 59,some of them even have 120mm or 125mm smoothbore gun!
By the way,China had a tank that has 85mm cannon.It is Type 62 Light Tank.

That's Original T59, not 59D. T59 has many upgraded versions, and T59D is one of most heavily modernlised one.

T59: Original Model, 100mm rifled gun, 520hp engine.
T59-I: Long barrel 100mm rifled gun, laser rangefinder, simple fire-control.
T59-II: 105mm L7 rifled gun, new radio system.
T59-IIA: Composite Armor, improved fire-control.
T59-C: Long barrel 105mm rifled gun.
T59-D: Type 83A 105mm rifled gun, ERA, passive night vision, new stablizer, new fire-control, 580hp engine.
T59-G: T59 chassis fitted with a simplified ZTZ96A turret and 125mm smoothbore gun, approaching 3rd generation MBT standard.

He doesn't mean NDM86 is improted from other country...he means it is an export-only weapon.
What's more, QBU-88 is not a qualified sniper rifle at all, since soldiers complain about it is even less accurate than QBZ95. That's why PLA snipers are still using Type 85.

We have had some tanks with 85mm main gun...but not 59, they are T58(Chinese version of T34-85M) and T62(Light-weight T59). T62s are probably still in service in Yunnan(but they're upgraged to T62G standard by fitting a T63A turret and 105mm gun), and T58s are mostly modified and used as firetrucks.

Right.And China has some other tanks which are similar to Type 59,such as Type 69 and Type 79.About 5,000 Type 59 and other versions are still in PLA.
According to a Chinese military magazine,the Type 59D uses Type 94 105mm rifled gun,not Type 83A 105mm rifled gun.

FYI the site is long overdue for an overhaul, most of the stuff there is extremely outdated (especially the pictures).

• Will rename the NDM-86 to the Type 85, thanks for the heads up.
• All sources I can find online state that the T59D has the T83A 105mm rifled gun?
• Will rename the Type 85 to the QJC88, didn't realise the vehicle version had a separate name.
