Rain Problem

Post by awalwang »

It seems when I start a map with rain weather running, the game crashes to desktop right after the Barracks are constructed. Is my version just corrupted or is there something else going on? Thanks.

Which map? I'll test it out on my end.

They are maps not created by Modern Combat, so I'm assuming they may be a problem.
St. Hilaire's rain weather and Gilroy's Harbor rain weather cause problems. When I played the rain weather on Rails and Metal a few weeks ago, I had no problems (this was before I updated to versions 1.015 and 1.016). I'll try Rails and Metal again when I get the chance.

Maybe change the rain quality to none?

I played games on both maps with both factions and it didn't crash. It'd be helpful if you could you post up a "warnings.log" file from immediately after a game when it crashed.

It should be in your My Games CoH folder. For example, in my case: "Documents\My Games\Company of Heroes Relaunch\warnings.log"

Never mind. I changed the rain settings to low and it worked perfectly. Sorry for inconveniencing everyone over the problem.
