The game doesn't work properly in Skirmish and Multiplayer

I_am_a_Spoon asked me to make a topic here about my problem since I had posted it on moddb first.

I have Modern Combat 1.014

When I start a Skirmish or LAN game, I can select my base and unit but I cannot do anything with them. I cannot move my unit or use any abilities. The game is like frozen but I can still select things, go to MENU, move the camera but not even the AIs move in my screen. Also, in the minimap, my territory is marked in total black instead of blue. Furthermore, the soldiers are not equiped with weapons, they just stand there frozen.

I have tried launching as administrator ( and also using the edited shortcut instead of the normal .exe file ) and I have found a fix but it only works for Skirmish. I press MENU, then RESUME and the game is fixed but as I said before it only works for Skirmish and I want to make it work in Multiplayer too so I can play LAN with my friends.

I have tried a bit of the SINGLE PLAYER CAMPAIGN but I did not encounter any problems there.

Are you using 1.014 with the new Steam version? We released 1.015 specifically for the re-release.

I am not using Steam and I only play LAN with this game with some friends. I don't think I am going to get another version of the game.

Ok, well 1.015 can still be used with v2.602.

Did this only start happening after you updated to 1.014?

I have only tried 1.000 and 1.014 and I didn't have problem in 1.000 so I guess something is wrong with 1.014. Maybe I have corrupt files, who knows.

Sounds like one of the patches didn't download or install properly...

You'd normally have to find out which and redownload it, might as well just download 1.015 (which is a standalone release, not just a cumulative patch).
