CoH: Modern Combat

Hi there,

Is good to see that with the new site and forums the mod is gooing on better then ever.
Since the new patch (thanks to the Devs for bringing in the Marines) I have worked on the new version of my infantry skins.
All my work was made with personal use in mind but I feel like showing you my work to receive some good criticism, improve the skins and, only if the Devs want release it.
As I said I don't own anything and all the thanks are to the creators of the mod and the models (read the Disclaimer in the file below).

Wow, you sure went to a lot of trouble with that PDF. Fantastic presentation! Looking forward to browsing through it when I have some free time.

If the skins are up to scratch then I don't see why some of them couldn't be used to improve what we already have, assuming the original artists don't mind. But that's not up to me. I'm also not sure about permission issues, you'll have to wait for DB to clarify.

Anything that improves the mod graphically can be used as long as long as it follows the limitations we have put on textures.

The presentation looked excellent! Really enjoyed it, but sometimes had a bit of trouble distinguishing some details with certain skins. I think giving the same outfit to builder units might not be such a good thing. It distinguishes them from regular soldiers that way. Might not be half-bad for Hardcore though.

Boonie Hats for SEALs and Tan Medpack & Holsters make it state of the art anyway

More than a few of those skins would come in handy, won't say which ones.

Will go into more detail later. You should think about applying for the team.

Thank you. About the images' low detail, I can't do much about it, my laptop is not so powerful but tell me more about the details you are talking about, I'll see what I can do. About the builder units skins Imade my skin with realism rather than gameplay in mind. I usually tell them apart either by their equipment (they wear unique backpacks) or by their different symbol.

probably size and resolution limit in order to mantain playability like vcoh
