CoH MC not launching. Installed 1-2-3 in order.

So I downloaded .16, .17, and .18.

Installed .16 to my Common Steam library on D: drive. (D:)Games/Steamapps/common/company of heroes relaunch

Extracted the .17 patch to the same folder. Yes to all

Then extracted the .18 patch to the same folder. Yes to all

I get nothing.. quick black updating DOS screen, then nothing.. no launch.

Any ideas?

did you move the bat file into the modern combat folder?

It's in the Modern Combat folder already, when launched it does nothing.

Even tried a fresh install on everything.. tried just the base .16 to this resolve. Apparently just launching the .bat file does nothing.

1.018 isn't installed properly (one of the things it does it disable the non-functional updater). I'm assuming you downloaded it a while ago, or from an external source?

Check inside your Relaunch folder to see if there are any .bat files there. You'll probably find two identical to the ones inside your ModernCombat folder pictured above. If so, move them into the ModernCombat folder and overwrite when prompted.

No this was all done recently I just built a new computer. Posted this the same day pretty much. I'm trying a fresh install again.

After doing a fresh install of everything (**Didn't Uninstall MC using Installer**(Whiped CoH Relaunch folder, CoH Relaunch Document data, Registry Clean with CCleaner, shut down).. tried reinstalling CoH and the MC .16 installer only gives me the modify/repair and remove option.. none of them work and I get some errors.** Solution found here http://coh-moderncombat.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=385

Clean up the mod and installer with a 2.0 update please.

My 2 friends got the mod up and running and they can't play due to Chinese troops not spawning and yellow boxes on MG nests. V- Something is fubar'd with their stuff and they followed my solution at the bottom. -V

I finally got it working.

You have to create a new non-steam game. Set it to CoH Root folder application relicCOH.exe. From Steam library Right Click Properties>"Start In"> "Browse" (Select from drop down *ALL FILES*). Find Modern Combat folder and set to MC .bat file.

This was the only fix.

I'm glad it worked out for you, but we acknowledge the issues with the installer. The process will be greatly simplified with the next patch.
