Modern Combat stops working again after today's CoH update
I was dumb today and let Steam update my Company of Heroes. After that, I was not able to start the mod anymore. Any ideas? Thanks.
HP Pavilion DV7-6100

Last time I had this problem I figured out Avast was blocking my LuaExtCore.dll. I have the entire CoH folder listed as a file exception now for it, so Avast is probably not the culprit this time.

Re: Modern Combat stops working again after today's CoH upda
Doesn't work for me either. Looks like the update itself is to blame... -_-
Re: Modern Combat stops working again after today's CoH upda
Does anyone know a quick fix to this situation or does it require a patch?
Re: Modern Combat stops working again after today's CoH upda
No fix atm. Relic locked the faction dll . Every mod in coh is effected.

So how about simply replace the locked dll?
Re: Modern Combat stops working again after today's CoH upda
It goes somewhat deeper then just the dll, the dll is checked by the game and by steam you wont be able to use the factions because its a non verified files.
ATM it is actually at the stage where East Front are considering putting they're Mod back to pre steam 2.62 retail & using hamachi or tuggle to run lan games.
It is more then just a simple dll problem,, the extra factions have been locked out by Relic. The only other alternative is to try and put all the factions onto the default pe, axis, cw, and allied slot numbers. And that is probably hundreds of hours of work as every single entry ucs wise ect will have to be changed.
For now we will wait a week or two and see if it is reverted by relic. & if not what answer is received from them in their forums. I'm simply not willing to commit to more then that at the moment, as it isn't my call.

Hopes Sega will release a fix about this problem soon. If Sega push us back to 2.602, they asked for it.

2.602 would be an absolute last resort. Setting everyone up with the correct retail version would be a nightmare, and PvP would be dead for all but the most dedicated players.
