Mod randomly quits working

Started to play Modern Combat again this week, ran fine Monday-Thursday. I attempted to start the game through Steam (as usual) today (Friday) and the game will not start. I see the RelicCOH process flash for a second in Task Manager and the game proceeds to quit. The standard Company of Heroes game runs fine. Is there anything I can do short of trying to reinstall the mod? I wish I could give more information, but I can't really say much when the game fails to start.

Tried a fresh reinstall of both the game and the mod, no good.

Did you change anything? Anything at all?

And how did you start the mod?

The only thing that's happened between yesterday and today has been updating my graphics card - but that cannot be the problem, because I am able to run the normal Company of Heroes fine.
I have tried to run it two ways: through Modern Combat's launcher and through Steam using the format "-dev -mod ModernCombat -nomovies."

Reinstalled and restarted computer several times (both CoH and the mod) but nothing works. Modify and Repair from the installer does nothing as well. I'm not sure why it simply stopped working - I didn't do anything significant over the past day. I don't even know if there's an error log if the RelicCOH.exe process starts and then quits within 1 second.

I'll post pc spcs:

HP Pavilion DV7-6100
Intel i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20 GHz
8.00 GB RAM
x64 OS

Actually I'm getting something similar...

My Avast anti-virus is repeatedly picking up LuaExtCore.dll as a suspicious file and quarantining it. I can't launch the mod, but vCoH runs fine (as it doesn't require the DLL). I was able to run the mod no problems until now.

I have Avast too. I'm guessing we're encountering the same problem. Where is the LuaExtCore.dll supposed to be located? I tried disabling Avast temporarily and reinstalling the mod, but I can't find the dll.

Found the .dll file. Disabled Avast temporarily and the game runs fine. Problem is, how can I add this file to Avast exceptions without completely dismantling my anti-virus protection every time I play the game?

Not sure, there must be a way to add exceptions to Avast, maybe look around online?
