About PLA Regular - Doctrinal PF-89(80mm disposable rocket launcher)
During Cold War, PLA was under the threat of heavy armor of Soviet Union. For this reason, PLA pays a lot of attention on individual AT weapons. Modern PLA motorized/mechanize infantry squad takes 7-8 PF-89(The one similar to AT-4, not PF-98), even sniper would take one with him during operation.
My idea is: Replace PF-89 squad of FIN commander tree with a PF-89 upgrade, allow PLA regular upgrade PF-89 in T2 and fire them with munition.

About ZBD-04 - Way to balance two main cannon
Don't know if you guys are going to add it into the game. ZBD-04 (not amphibious ZBD-05 already existed in the game) have two main cannons - one 100mm smoothbore and one 30mm chaingun, which makes it difficult to balance its much too strong firepower.
My idea is: Replace both ZBD-05 and Type 59D with single ZBD-04, Give ZBD-04 a "switch main cannon" ability, it can fire only one of the main cannons at the same time, and change main cannon needs a 3-5sec reloading time (and some ammo if nessecary)

For the ZBD-04, I think that the ZBD-04 is too crispy. ZBD-04 is an upgrade version of ZBD-97 and ZBD-97 is a Chinese version of Russian BMP-3. BMP-3 is crispy, it can only defense 12.7mm bullets. But a M2 Bradley or a T59D can defense even RPG-7.

The PF-89 was planned to make an appearance, but that looks doubtful now...

The ZBD-04 setup you proposed is nice, but adding a whole new vehicle is a huge amount of work, and it's not anything vital.

To avoid confusion of PF-89 and PF-98, Chinese netizens usually call them 80mm and 120mm instead(RPG-7/Type 69 was called 40mm).
Making 80mm doctrinal would bring less problems on balancing, or you can make it a hardcore-only stuff.
About ZBD-04, since you're planning to separate PLA Ground Force and Marine, ZBD-05 would be given to Marine faction. Then there should be something left for Ground Forces. I thought you're already planning to join ZBD-04.
If there's not any existing stuff for ZBD-04, you can give ZSD-89 a 25mm Bushmaster turret upgrade instead.

I understand, but it would still need to be modelled, skinned, imported, animated, coded, etc. We don't make anything just for hardcore, anything unique to hardcore is just something that would otherwise have gone to waste.

I doubt the ZBD-04 will eventuate, but I really like the 25mm IFV upgun idea for the ZSD-89.

Or we can use AT-4 or unsupported PF-98 instead before we have time and manpower to make a new one, to check out if it would cause any balancing issue?

That's the kind of thing we do in the dev version all the time, but we don't release unfinished content publicly unless we absolutely have to.

Besides, it wasn't going to be for the Ground Force.

In fact, The imaginary enemy of PLA Ground Force is always Russia and its T80UMs, while the imaginary enemy of PLA Navy Marine is Taiwan and its M48A5.
Marine of PLA doesn't takes many infantry AT weapons with them because their ZTD05s can deal with everything Taiwan has.
