Forget about the background settings and realistic, and focus on an absolutely fair tournament!
Fair-Tournament mode is a mode which both side (US and PLA) will get exactly same units (with different models and appearance, of course), same tiers, same tech trees, and same commmander trees.

Units for both sides:

That's an interesting idea.But BGM-71 TOW and HJ-8 are both too heavy.How about using BGM-148 Javelin and PF-98?China's tracked APC is ZSD-89,not ZSL-89.“D”means pedrail and “L”means wheel.
And,how about adding 3rd-Gen MBT to the command tree?The M1A2 Abrams and the ZTZ-99A1.

That's a lot of new weapons and a lot of work.

Javelin is 3rd-Gen AT missile with vertical strike mode, however China doesn't have such kind of weapon.

Yep, tons of concepts.
But maybe someday we can come up with a more simplified one with what we have now?

I mean, I'm sure you could just take the current stuff now, take the stuff needed into one faction, copy that faction and replace the models with ones we already have. The Heavy AT, for example, could be the PF-89 and the TOW launcher, same stats but different models.

Maybe we could give them different weapon but the same use.Now China have used QJZ-89 12.7mm HMG instead of Type 85.Although QJZ-89 is not very perfect.
And,the “Dongfeng”should be eastwind.The ZBD2000 should be ZBD05.
We can give engineer some other things to build,like M777 and PLL01 155mm Howitzer.
How about adding Airborne Riflemen to the command tree?The US 101st Airborne Division(Air Assault) uses M14EBR and the PLA 15th Airborne Army uses QBZ-03.And the PLA engineers can use Type 81 or Type 87.

I know PLA only have AFT-9 which must be carried by a truck.But we have PF-98.Although it's just a heavy rocket launcher.PLA isn't US Army.PLA isn't very rich.PF-98 is a great weapon.Although FGM-148 is 3rd-Gen AT missile and PF-98 is just a rocket launcher,they are both great.Only light AT such as M3 Gustav and Type 69 RPG is not enough.We need a kind of weapon that is like AT Gun.And Javelin and PF-98 could be.

Yep, I used the name which can be easier unstood by international players.
I think more stuff is always good, if the commander tree have enough space.

Er,I want to say that T85 HMG is too old.PLA has used QJZ-89 12.7mm HMG.

Another thing is that “Dongfeng” is “eastwind”, not “easewind”.

Many PLA new weapon was called “XXX-2000”,such as PGZ-95(PGZ-2000) and ZBD-05(ZBD-2000).But their real name aren't “XXX-2000”.
许多解放军的新式武器都被误称为“2000式某某某”，像是95式自行高炮（2000式自行高炮）和05式两栖步战车（2000式两栖步战车）。但是，他们的真名都不是“2000式某某某”。

And what weapon do the US and PLA Airborne use?M14EBR and QBZ-03?
还有，美国和中国空降部队用什么武器？M14EBR战术步枪和03式突击步枪吗？
