Some suggestion about Apache

When initiating close air support, attack helicopters usually use rocket pods more than hellfire missiles(as hellfire is usually used as "sniping" enemy vehicle at 8 kilometers/5 miles away, and often needs friendly units giving a laser targeting).
In my opinion, we can change the single-fire, guided hellfire missile of Apache with muilt-fire unguided 70mm rocket pod, It will make a better area effect and suppression, and this will surely give US players a new choice to fight against Chinese human waves and tides of iron.

I agree that rockets would be more realistic and definitely more spectacular, but the loss of guidance would reduce the Apache's long-range effectiveness. The current Hellfire model would also be wasted (unless implemented in some other way).

As for model, I think we can simply use current hellfire model as 70mm rocket, like we use F16 Falcon as Q5 Fantan in old versions. :)

We can put rocket and Hellfire Missile at the same time. Just reduce the fire rate of Hellfire.

I can't give you a straight yes or no, only DB can do that.

The biggest obstacle in my eyes would be the reduction of accuracy at long range, unless we make the rockets homing of course. And as you described it effectiveness vs. infantry would increase significantly, the current Apache is limited to the damage and suppression provided by its chain gun.

I know, just some idea. :)

About Hellfire, I have another two ideas:
1. If you guys plan to add SuperCobra for Marine, there's another choice: give Apache rocket pods for close support, and give SuperCobra Hellfire to "snipe" enemy armor. SuperCobra is much lighter than Apache, so it takes less ammo and could take less damage than Apache, which makes it less fit for close-support mission, but more fit for armor hunting mission at long distance.
2. Make hellfire missile a off-map support ability. Hellfire missile is usually launched miles away (maxium range is 8000m, enough for off-map support) from target and requires laser guiding from either helicopter or ground. I think such a death-from-above ability will add more fun into the game.

If we ever did something like this, then it would be a rocket strafe from the A10.

Why not do both?

Since the Apache is selectable in game once called in, why not make the close range Rocket pods default and give the unit a clickable ability button for firing a long range hellfire at a selected target? Or do the opposite, make the long range hellfires default and make a click button to fire a rocket barrage at a selected area target?
