Temp Folder

Hi, i've missed out on playing MC since patch 1.014 and im trying to reinstall the mod now using the latest .015 exe.

Anyway, may I know which temp folder the installer uses during installation? I have little space left in Drive C and this causes the installer to quit because it fills up during install, even though im installing in another drive. Figured i could symlink that particular temp folder to another drive so the install process would proceed.

extra, for lols:
Not using steam and sticking with the old 2.602 since Steam takes a long time to boot because of crappy internet connection. Figured it would be best too, since i havent played in a while and would surely be no match for Campaigner. I mostly play pvp in monthly LANs anyway, so the relic servers going offline doesnt really impact me and my friends.

I honestly don't know which temp folder it uses, probably the standard for windows installs.

Oh man. I just tried linking the Windows\Temp folder to another drive and ran the MC installer. Same problem. I see my Drive C space dwindling out during installation although im installing on drive D. I could probably fix it by reinstalling windows and repartitioning but that would be add more problems because i would need need to re-patch COH.

Whatever happened to the oh-so-good self-extracting exe's? :)

Why not just shift some stuff out before installing and then put it all back afterwards?

again, i find myself looking to complicate simple things.

And with exams in 2 days I'm trying desperately to simplify complicated things. ;)

ha, it's been a while since ive been inside the corners of a classroom so i forgive myself for slipping up.

anyways, i got this sorted out as per your suggestion, and unfortunately have the disk1.cab error as described in another thread here. Seems i would have to wait for that next patch too.
