CoH: Modern Combat

Me and a friend both have the mod installed and working in SP skirmishes, but can't connect to one another's game. We just get an immediate error message like it doesn't try to load, we have the same version and everything. Help?

Try to verify your Game's cache with steam. Right click the CoH Relaunch in your library, press properties and press verify game local cache.

We both tried and all our files checked out, still doesn't let us join each others games.

Did you both install the mod into your CoH Steam folder?
Is it a clean install? (there was not any old MC files in your CoH folder)

Did any of your accidentely try to apply any of the old patches from v2.602 of CoH?

We both installed it in the relaunch, no we hadn't played any previous of the mod and my friend completely uninstalled the game and deleted all mods and started fresh. It's done this to us in other mods AND in vanilla but it would only happen like once and I'd just reset my game and then it would let us in. With this mod like I said it works fine in single player but we cannot join each others games. I'm at a loss. I'm going to try uninstalling everything on mine as well.

I guarantee that at least one of you has an incomplete install or old redundant files.

Can either of you connect to other players online?

We're getting a similar problem here. We have two fresh installs of the mod, both game game caches verified. Single player campaign and skirmish both function. When we check multiplayer, there appears to be no games listed. We see each other in our friends list. Whenever we try to invite, we get an error along the lines of "Player has invited you to a match but you cannot join" or something along those lines. The regular CoH game works fine, we can invite and join matches as normal.

You both need to try connecting to a third party. It's likely that there are no games showing up because nobody else is playing MC, so you may need to schedule a game via our Steam group. I'll be in the group chat for the next hour or so.
