I've always gotten the impression that the "autocannon"-type units (LAV-25, Bradley, ZBD09) are much less effective against infantry in Modern Combat than their compatriots in vCoH (Puma, PE Armored Car). Yes, they make up for it against light vehicles, but not armor, which puts them in kind of an awkward place. The Stryker MGS still seems to be pretty baller against everything though.
