That's actually exactly what I'm advocating for, as the main reason I wanted to apply for this in the first place was because I felt the current PLA forces ingame don't feel like a real Modern PLA force fully should as there's plenty of outdated equipment or equipment certain unit types wouldn't be using for example.
I assure you, we're on the same side here. =)
Good to see someone can discuss with here. BTW do you go to military forums often? Which forum do you prefer?

Usually. sometimes I'll just read and not post, but mostly I prefer.
Tanknet.
IAA (oddly enough on the topic of Chinese weapons and Ordnance, I actually posted a translation for an infograph on the DBP-10 round for the 5.8x42mm cartridge one of my friends really helped with that was previously unknown to western gun writers. I can pull that up if you wish.)
Military Guns and Ammunition - I figure I may put a note here, while I do disagree with alot of Tony Williams' theories on combat reform among other things, I do agree that, from a sheerly technical standpoint, his writings are generally quite accurate and good reference material.
Sino Defence forum - sometimes out of date on some subjects, but a good place to read.
Defence.pk can be decent at times when it's not filled with rabid nationalists, however sometimes it is and that tends to ruin it.
ChineseDefence
And while it's not strictly a military forum (As far as I'm aware.), I often find gems on tiexue, which is good at finding obscure images and revealing fake ones.

Those doesn't seem like Native Chinese military forums...So where do you come from? I prefer Native Chinese military forum more, like CJDBY.

I sometimes delve into native forums but, as I said I rely a bit on translations so I don't like to bother people alot.
Anyway, I'm from Seattle, been back to a few places in China, with Shanghai being my favorite by far, also visited the military museums in Beijing which was a very nice experience while I was there.
