Hello guys,
Sorry for the silence occurred last week about the mod. Since the last couple of weeks Relic released a patch that broke the use of custom DLLs and custom factions, so Eastern Front no longer works with the Steam version.
We have planned to make a new version compatible with 2.602, but we have been waiting for Relic's answer about our current issues, because, as everyone know, we have been greenlit and this would mean we cannot release it on Steam at all. Since Relic no longer makes the patches for Company of Heroes, but a company named Smoking Gun Interactive, we think there was some sort of miscomunication. So, we will take a decision after we have Relic's answer.
Anyway, when we have Relic's answer, we will update this announcement. But Eastern Front is not going to be stopped, at worse case scenario, we would just release it for the last retail version (or the "regular" Steam version).
Thanks for your support,
Archaic Entertainment Team

With a net shift to vCoH 2.602 (which most of the community won't be using) and no integral PvP interconnectivity... they're going to see a drop in numbers.
I wish them all the best, they're one of the biggest and best mods for CoH and I'd hate to see them go down like this right after being greenlit.

I think so...hope Relic or Sega will give a solution or answer about this.
BTW, when will we start working?

Well, as I am part of the team I can tell you that that this isn't 100% the case. We have contacted Relic and we are awaiting an answer. Going back to 2.602 will basically be the worst case scenario. There has been a miscommunication between Relic and the company that make the patches for VCOH now. They have been improving our situation by Greenlitting us on Steam, providing us with workshop capabilities etc so them trying to kill us off with DLL's seems contradicting. We will see and we will have to be patient.

Hopes that it is only miscommunication. Is it Sega or Relic makes the final decision about the vCoH?

Probably Relic having to tell Smoking Gun Interactive to fix the mess. That is my guess..
