Age old debate
Age old debate but in different context. ARMY OR MARINES. I personally prefer the Marines since I'm enlisting this week and you get MARSOC & Navy Seals...BUT I like seeing Airborne fast rope in combat zones and Stryker casevacs sound pretty cool (haven't tried it don't know what it does) My vote. MARINES

Btw AAVs can casevac too. Dunno how realistic that is but it seemed like the best option for the USMC faction.

They both are necessary for our current day. Now when we reach for the stars I think it will be inevitable as it was in ancient times that both branches will blend.
For now however you cant say it, this thread is like a virus and a cancer and must be put down with extreme prejudice.
The Army is a juggernaut, and like any juggernaut is big and heavy... meaning is slow. It takes days for it to be deployed, to be set up, but once it gets sets up it simply storms through.
Marines is a reaction force, quick reaction. Light expeditionary units that travel already with naval vessels around the world.
top of my head... Army is the sword, Marines are the dagger... and spec ops would be the scapel
Who is the best?... well the tip of the spear doesn't mean shit, if the shaft isn't applying momentum from behind, and the shaft cant penetrate crap unless the spear is piercing.
This can go on for days of course since airborne could be there before the tip of the spear is told to move. One cannot survive without the other in the world we live today.
Now like I alluded to at the beginning, I am one of those crazy few who believe in the future, the marines will be marines in name only for their standards are too high to attract the numbers necessary for a full army. And the airforce will mean shit when everything in space is... naval space
So if I had to gamble in the future this thread wont mean anything since the only ones remaining will be the Navy and the Marines. Though the former will be in name only.
But... we are a long time from that happening.
