Well Green Berets aren't direct action, they go behind enemy lines and train a militia i.e clandestine warfare on a scale of being way behind enemy lines to cause trouble with the populace. Rangers are way behind enemy lines to blow shit up. (Delta Force recruits directly from the Rangers.)
